C’mon to the Palmer Park Market!!!
The Arts Council of New Orleans Arts Council of New Orleans promotes artists through their Saturday markets at Palmer Park. On the last Saturday of every month from 10 am to 4pm you will find a plethora of hand made items from local and typically Southern artists. It’s a great time and there’s something for everybody.
Now, let’s talk about this past weekend…..Blues and Grooves Fest at The Township in Ridgeland, Mississippi. The weather was hot and so was all the fantastic live music. I set up some large pieces for display including a 10’ by 6’ Bottle Tree, and in that tree I got a little crazy with it. I threw in different types of leaves and bird silhouettes. It takes at least 3 people to carry it, but it was well worth all of the trouble. This tree, I believe, will be on display at the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi. Time for me to get back to the shop and spread that Bottle Tree Love!!!! I’m heading to the Delta for a big delivery in a couple of weeks and will be blogging my adventure so stay tuned….should be a very interesting ramble. Over and Out!!
